What we collect
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive the details you choose to send. A short message form collects name, email, and the note you write, plus a phone number or business name if you give one. The longer process form can also include a description of the work, how often it happens, the tools you already use, and optional example files.
The website also receives normal technical information from your browser, such as IP address and time of visit, because the hosting server has to answer the request. We do not use advertising cookies or a third-party analytics product on this site.
To see which pages are useful, we count visits with our own simple counter. It sets no cookies and stores no IP address, browser details or anything else that identifies you: it records the page, the website that linked to it and any campaign tag in the link, and counts visitors with a code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to a person. Browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are not counted.
Examples and attachments
You may optionally send screenshots or plain-text/CSV examples to explain a process. Remove personal, customer, employee and payment information, passwords and API keys before sharing. Images are re-encoded and CSV files are delivered as plain-text attachments. Files are processed temporarily for delivery to our enquiry mailbox; the website does not create public download links or retain an upload library. Attachments received by email follow the enquiry retention period below.
The form uses an essential session cookie for security and a hashed connection identifier for hourly rate limiting. It does not save draft answers in your browser’s local storage.
Why we use it
We use enquiry information to reply, to understand the problem you described, and to keep a record of the conversation. The legal basis we rely on for that is our legitimate interest in answering a business enquiry you started, or taking steps toward a contract if you ask us to do work.
Who sees it
AertaOne staff see the enquiry. The website host (Hostinger) and Microsoft 365 email may process the message so it can be stored and delivered. We do not sell this information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not result in a customer relationship are normally retained for up to 12 months after our last communication, unless we need to retain them longer for legal or legitimate business purposes. If an enquiry becomes a customer relationship, information may then be retained in accordance with the requirements of that business relationship. You can ask us to delete your enquiry where that is appropriate.
Your rights
If Irish or EU data protection law applies to you, you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where that is appropriate. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland.
